EYA Urban Seeds
Samantha Charlton dropped by today to show us the "Urban Seeds" her group have saved and packaged. The Environmental Youth Alliance (EYA) grow their vegetables in the Cottonwood Community Garden in Strathcona next to downtown Vancouver and Chinatown about a 15 minute drive from our garden. Sharon and I look out on the freshly fallen snow knowing that the forecast is for below-freezing temperatures all week. This is uncommon in Vancouver. We enter the greenhouse to discuss what will be planted once the weather warms up. January 11, 2007
